In addition to its innovative approach to education and research at the national level, Pars University of Architecture and Art is also committed to taking a leading role in the cultural and artistic spheres, by fostering cultural development and strengthening the roots of art in society. While emphasizing knowledge production, the training of skilled individuals, and preparing students for future employment, the university strives to enhance students’ inner values and beliefs to ensure their effective presence in the professional world.

Recognizing the unique role of universities in national development and the undeniable importance of cultural and extracurricular activities as informal learning opportunities for attracting talents, nurturing creativity and capabilities, and enhancing students’ practical experiences, the Department of Executive & Cultural Affairs—“DECAPars”—has been established to organize and direct the university’s cultural and artistic activities.

DECAPars is responsible for the policy-making, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of all cultural events at the university, while also ensuring that the cultural and artistic needs of the students are addressed and met.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Planning, directing, and supervising cultural and artistic activities at the university
2. Creating and expanding cultural, artistic, and educational events
3. Organizing academic and practical seminars on applied topics for students, featuring leading professors and distinguished figures in art and architecture from Iran and around the world
4. Establishing collaborations and partnerships with universities, centers, and institutions of art and architecture both domestically and internationally
5. Providing platforms for students to present and exhibit their cultural and artistic works
6. Establishing cultural and artistic student clubs
7. Supporting and backing the scientific, cultural, and artistic activities of student associations
8. Hosting workshops, specialized competitions, excursions, cultural and artistic exhibitions, festivals, and more
