Minor Pars
Specialized supplementary courses minor
About the course
Nowadays, due to the expansion and importance of interdisciplinary concepts and sciences and the need for experts to become familiar with skills beyond their field of expertise and education, Pars University, like most of the world’s prestigious universities, has started to hold specialized courses (minor). Graduate specialized courses are courses in which undergraduate and graduate students can study in a field other than their major by completing a certain number of credits at the same time. In these courses, students get acquainted with people from other disciplines by conducting joint research and practical projects with various aspects of skills and teamwork experience. In fact, the purpose of these courses is to create a platform for students to become more familiar with other fields and specializations that they can have after completing their university studies to enter the labor market and industry.
Interested students can choose a major from among the courses in the university from the beginning of the first semester (according to the approved regulations) and register.
Disciplines
Miner Course in Iran and the World
At most prestigious universities around the world, undergraduate students are allowed to take specialized courses from other fields as part of a supplementary (Minor) program, concurrently with their major studies (Major). In recent years, some universities in Iran, such as Sharif University of Technology and Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, have also begun offering supplementary programs.
Therefore, Pars University of Architecture and Art, in line with its long-term goals, aims to provide opportunities for students to advance and acquire additional skills and expertise by offering specialized supplementary courses in various fields. This will create the necessary environment for achieving the following objectives:
- Acquiring knowledge and expertise in the student’s area of interest (some students, due to limitations in the student admission system, may be studying a field other than their area of interest. Additionally, some students are working simultaneously while studying, and their work specialization does not align with their academic field).
- Introducing undergraduate students to specialized topics in other undergraduate programs offered at the university.
- Enhancing students’ specialized, scientific, and cultural skills.
- Increasing the entrepreneurial capabilities of graduates.
- Increasing the likelihood of graduates’ employment in the job market.
- Contributing to the promotion of specialized and practical sciences.
It is worth noting that, as mentioned, supplementary programs are offered from the available disciplines at the university, based on the credit requirements, allowing students from different fields to interact in classes and projects.
