This association has been established to promote, advance, and enhance the academic standards of visual arts, to develop the quality of professional expertise, and to improve the state of education and research in various areas of visual arts.
Objectives of the Association:
The primary goal of this association is to monitor, document, organize, and critically evaluate the teaching methods used in visual arts education—particularly in disciplines such as graphic design (visual communication), photographic, illustration, photography, and printmaking—at the high school (art school), associate, and bachelor’s levels.
Duties and Activities:
To achieve these goals, the association will undertake the following actions:
- Organize specialized roundtable meetings for instructors at regular intervals agreed upon by the members
- Issue calls for submissions to collect various teaching methods in the aforementioned fields and to create a database for them
- Hold specialized workshops focused on teaching methodologies
- Publish the association’s findings—such as articles and ideas related to pedagogical analysis and issues—in print and online media
- Offer educational and research services related to teaching methods
- Conduct national and international research projects with researchers and experts engaged in visual arts
- Collaborate with executive, academic, and research institutions to evaluate, revise, and implement educational and research programs relevant to the association’s focus areas
- Publish scientific and educational books and journals
This association serves as a professional platform for sharing knowledge, fostering collaboration, and elevating the standards of visual arts education across various academic levels.
