This course encompasses a range of scientific, educational, and research activities in the field of construction engineering and management, including civil, industrial, infrastructure, and other types of projects. It relies on concepts, perspectives, methods, techniques, software, and technical and executive systems to familiarize students with the management of project design and execution according to relevant objectives.

This field deals with the sustainable development dimensions of the country and issues related to improving the quality of projects and preserving national assets, including all projects across the country such as residential complexes, administrative and commercial complexes, hospitals, airports, industrial complexes, infrastructure, and many other projects.

The aim of this field is to empower specialists to manage civil projects and optimize project management to achieve their goals, enhance productivity and quality levels, and complete projects within the specified time and budget, implementing scientific methods in line with international and national standards. Additionally, one of the important goals of this field is to address management challenges at all project levels, including financial issues, scheduling, resource allocation and leveling, considering risks, and guiding projects to ensure the satisfaction of all stakeholders. Construction engineering and management can be implemented in all projects of the public sector, public institutions, and the private sector.

  • Familiarity with advanced research methods in the field of engineering and construction management.
  • Achieving the latest scientific, research, and technological foundations in the field of engineering and construction management.
  • Innovation in scientific and research fields and contributing to the advancement and expansion of the boundaries of knowledge.
  • Mastery in teaching, research, planning, execution, guidance, supervision, evaluation, analysis, and solving scientific issues and addressing the scientific problems of society in one of the fields of project management and construction to perform tasks in the research and educational system of the country or managerial and strategic duties in government organizations and planning institutions of the country.
  • Dissemination and production of engineering and construction management knowledge in line with the cultural characteristics and specific conditions of the country.

Graduates of this field, by familiarizing themselves with the principles and foundations of engineering and construction management and appropriate and correct methods of managing various projects, as well as acquiring the necessary skills regarding the subsystems of engineering and construction management in projects, will be able to scientifically implement the engineering and project management processes, including ten subsystems according to relevant standards, in various types of projects and provide higher quality and more sustainable outcomes.
