During a meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the University of Architecture and Art of Pars — UNESCO Chair in Architectural Technology and Intercultural Dialogue — and the Natural Disasters Research Institute — UNESCO Chair in Natural Disaster Management.

According to the Public Relations Office of the University of Architecture and Art of Pars, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed during a meeting between the University of Architecture and Art of Pars — UNESCO Chair in Architectural Technology and Intercultural Dialogue, represented by Professor Mahmoud Golabchi (founder of the university) — and the Natural Disasters Research Institute — UNESCO Chair in Natural Disaster Management, represented by Mr. Seyed Amirhossein Garkani (head of the institute).
This memorandum was concluded with the aim of establishing and expanding scientific, educational, and research cooperation, and to utilize the capacities, facilities, and scientific, technical, advisory, equipment-related, and library resources of both parties.
Key areas of collaboration include leveraging the capacities of both institutions to address the strategic needs of national industries, supporting the development of knowledge-based products and services, forming a joint scientific and technical committee for technical support, exchanging expertise and utilizing the capabilities of professors and experts, organizing conferences, workshops, and specialized training courses, and publishing books, journals, and scientific articles resulting from joint projects.
This cooperation marks an important step toward addressing specialized challenges in the fields of disaster management, natural hazards, and urban and rural planning in the country through the enhancement of scientific and executive capacities.
