According to the Public Relations of Pars University of Architecture and Art, in order to honor the efforts of researchers and also to strengthen the interactive and innovative atmosphere of students and professors, the fifth event of the Research Week was held in the conference hall of this university with a focus on “Artificial Intelligence and Modernization of the Arts”.

The event began with a specialized meeting on “Examining the Challenges of the Printing Industry from 4 Perspectives” with the presence of five prominent professors in the field of the printing industry, including Dr. Mostafa Khazaei (Secretary of the Meeting), Professor Soheil Saleh, Dr. Mohammad Bitarfan, Professor Arash Norouzi, and Professor Ali Taherian.

During this meeting, the professors presented their expert views on the use of artificial intelligence in printing, and examined the challenges and opportunities facing this industry. Also, the dialogue and exchange of ideas between the speakers and the attendees created a dynamic atmosphere for the analysis and evaluation of this important industry.

Afterwards, a specialized meeting was held with the focus on “Revival and Reweaving of Iran’s Historical Handlooms”. During this meeting, with the presence of Dr. Pinky Chad (secretary of the meeting), Professor Ruhollah Dehghani, Professor Ali Naimaei Aali, and Professor Ameneh Charkhabadi, the challenges of today’s society in the field of reweaving, the evolution of traditional Iranian textiles, as well as the description of velvet weaving techniques, were discussed.

Another part of the event was dedicated to Dr. Ashkan Khatibi’s lecture on “Participation in International Competitions: Opportunities and Challenges”. During this lecture, the challenges of entering the field of global competitions and the strategies for success in this field were examined. Also, a number of prestigious competitions in different fields were introduced and how to participate in them was explained.

In the next part of the ceremony, Prof. Mahmoud Golabchi (founder of Pars University of Architecture and Art), while appreciating the professors and students active in the field of research, pointed out that in recent years, prominent works have been published in the publications of Pars University, stating: One of the goals of Pars University is to disseminate science and knowledge in the frontiers of art, thought and technology.

Prof. Golabchi also stated: “This university has always tried to provide a suitable platform for the emergence of creativity and innovation of students.” It is hoped that this path will lead to tangible and lasting results with the efforts of professors and veterans.

It is worth mentioning that during this ceremony, while unveiling the latest book of Dr. Siavash Teimouri (a prominent international architect) entitled “Sketches and Pen Drawings” published by Pars University Press, he was honored for his decades of efforts in the field of education, writing specialized books, as well as designing domestic and foreign landmark buildings.

Also, Dr. Omid Tasa (Professor of Architecture and Project Management) and Ms. Dorsa Shirvani were honored for preparing and compiling the scientific-student journal “Meter and Estimation”.

In the final part of the ceremony, the research efforts and scientific achievements of the Pars University community were appreciated by awarding a plaque of appreciation.

During this ceremony, the authors of the selected articles, the presenters of the top theses, as well as Mr. Hamid Mohammadi Sadat (the top entrepreneur of Pars University) were also appreciated. Also, the speakers of this event were presented with a plaque of appreciation in recognition of their efforts and participation in specialized meetings.

It should be noted that this event was held by Dr. Mehrnoosh Ghazanfari (Director of the Graduate Studies Department of Pars University) on December 24, 2019, with the presence of Dr. Abdolreza Mohseni, Engineer Houshang Amir Ardalan, Dr. Amir Jalili, Dr. Shahrokh Kalantari, Dr. Tatahiri Moghaddam, Dr. Alireza Ajdari, Dr. Morteza Sedigh and a group of students and enthusiasts.

The event of the Research Week of Pars University was held with the aim of strengthening the relationship between science, art and industry, identifying and appreciating top research talents, developing scientific collaborations, and motivating students to enter innovative fields.

This event was a platform for students and professors, through interaction and convergence, to take steps towards scientific progress and promotion and to be able to implement their new ideas in practical and practical frameworks.
